Developed by Terwilliger Pappas Multifamily Partners, Solis Brightleaf is rising skyward on West Main Street adjacent to the historic Brightleaf Square. First residences are slated to be unveiled in late 2018.

In addition to offering studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, Solis Brightleaf will feature upscale amenities. Among them will be an outdoor beer garden, a clubroom and veranda with perspectives on Main Street. Residents of the community will be able to enjoy a generously-sized fitness center with yoga studio and a heated pool.

Steps away

Solis Brightleaf offers residents a wide array of attractions within walking distance. Brightleaf Square next door is a popular retail-dining-office hub in a cluster of old tobacco warehouses.

The community is also a five-minute walk from Duke University’s East Campus, and also a stroll away from downtown Durham’s transformational One City Center high-rise tower, anticipated to be opened to the public in 2018.

Construction financing is being furnished by Pittsburgh-based FNB, while general contracting duties are being handled by Clancy & Theys Construction Company. Design has been awarded to Cline Design Architects and landscape architecture and engineering firm Stewart.

Second Durham development

Solis Brightleaf follows on the heels of another Solis apartment development in Durham. Terwilliger Pappas and the Dickson family earlier developed Solis Ninth Street Apartments, situated in the city’s lively Ninth Street enclave immediately west of Duke University.

We’re excited by the opportunity to develop a Solis community in downtown Durham, which has so much energy and momentum, with a lot of new jobs being created within walking distance of Solis Brightleaf,” Tom Barker, Terwilliger Pappas East Region president, said.
