Fuchs North America is building a new headquarters facility on its 21-acre corporate campus in Hampstead. The company celebrated the groundbreaking for the project on June 23. More than 150 people including employees, state and local officials attended the event.
Fuchs has operated out of its current headquarters in Owings Mills for more than half a century, and the facility has become outdated and unable to accommodate the growing company.
Dan Cooper, CEO of Fuchs North America, said in a news release that his company had been working on plans for a new headquarters facility for a number of years. Now, thanks to Fuchs’ strong growth and the increased demand for its products, the dream has become a reality. The new facility will be state-of-the-art, will double the company’s manufacturing capacity, and, according to Cooper, will enable Fuchs to “deliver customized seasonings and flavor solutions faster and better than ever.”
Fuchs’ new headquarters will be located at 3800 Hampstead Mexico Road. It will have 210,000 square feet of space and house 160 workers. The facility will include administration, product development, manufacturing and sales.
Fuchs did not disclose the cost of the project. The new facility is scheduled to open in late 2016.
