Contractor and developer Skanska has topped out RESA, a 326-unit luxury residential property in Washington, D.C. The 12-story structure is part of Tyber Space, a three-building mixed-use ensemble providing 585,000 square feet of office space, 326 residential units and roughly 30,000 square feet of retail and dining.
The building is located at 22 M St. N.E. in the vibrant NoMa neighborhood, between North Capitol Street NW and First Street NE. The transit-oriented community is situated a seven-minute walk away from NoMa-Gallaudet U Station, while Union Station and Union Market are also within walking distance.
The building’s front entrance is located on the NoMa Meander, a four-block pedestrian street of north-south orientation, stretching between New York Avenue and Pierce Street. The promenade, developed by a public-private partnership including Skanska, will offer retail, greenery and street furniture.
The property includes three levels of underground parking comprising 187 spaces and charging stations for electric cars. Common amenities at RESA include:
- rooftop pool and penthouse
- second-floor outdoor courtyard
- multiple resident lounges
- fitness center
- pet spa
- indoor bike storage
- free Wi-Fi in common areas
“There is strong collaboration in NoMa between the community, planners and residents. We are proud to come one step closer to delivering this innovative, sustainable and community-minded urban apartment,” said Mark Carroll, head of Skanska’s real estate development operations in Washington, D.C., in prepared remarks.
