Rylie Ragan Smith Joins Stafford Preserve Management Team

Objectives include maximizing occupancy levels, resident retention and enhancing the value of the property.

At the Stafford Preserve, a new luxury rental community in Manahawkin, New Jersey, new community manager Rylie Ragan Smith has several goals in mind. “My main objectives will be maximizing occupancy levels, resident retention and enhancing the value of the property,” says the community manager. The property was smack in the middle of the summer’s hurricane weather, but sustained no damage and has stayed on target to open in the spring of 2012. Smith was previously community manager at Atlantic Heights at Barnegat and will now oversee the daily operations of Stafford Preserve.

“It’s exciting to be a part of the Stafford Preserve community as it unfolds and to be involved in the development of the property from the ground up,” Smith added.

Stafford Preserve is a 216-unit apartment community in New Jersey’s southern Ocean County. It consists of 18 three-story buildings and the energy-efficient property will offer one- and two-bedroom garden-style apartments and two-bedroom townhouses, with rents starting at $1,195.

The apartments are aiming for LEED certification in accordance with U.S. Green Building Council Standards. The units include ENERGYSTAR heating and cooling systems, sealed ductwork, enhanced insulation and programmable thermostats that lessen energy consumption. These units also include low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) carpet fibers, paints and finishes to improve air quality.

Each apartment includes a washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, window coverings and ceiling fans in the master bedroom. There are several handicapped units available. Amenities include a community clubhouse with state-of the-art fitness center, resort-style pool, childrens’ playroom, tot-lot playground, tennis and basketball courts, picnic pavilion, and barbeque area.
