- Nov 22, 2016
Miami—Rivergate KW Residential, a multifamily property management company, has announced a record year of growth in new talent acquisitions and multifamily units under management. The company has further strengthened its team by hiring John Duffy as controller.
The recent addition of numerous properties in South Florida, the Carolinas and beyond has boosted the company’s total portfolio of units under management to more than 6,000 in just two years of operation. Notable 2016 additions to the company’s South Florida portfolio include Gold Coast Florida’s Hollywood Circle project and Terra Group’s Bayshore Grove, which the firm just recently renovated.
Duffy has 16 years of public accounting experience working in the real estate development, construction and property management industries–both residential and commercial. Prior to joining Rivergate, he was an audit manager specializing in real estate with Deloitte & Touche, the international accounting and consulting firm.
“John is uniquely suited for this highly important role in our company,” Marcie Williams, president of Rivergate KW Residential, said in prepared remarks. “He has a deep knowledge base and experience handling the accounting and finance needs of complex real estate development and property management companies. We are thrilled to have him on board.”
“I was particularly drawn to the strong leadership and corporate culture at Rivergate KW Residential,” added Duffy. “Our people-first philosophy resonates at all levels of the company and is reflected by the top-notch services we provide to property owners and their residents.”
Duffy received his B.S. in Accounting from Stockton University. As a CPA, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
