- Feb 13, 2014
Join us on Thursday, March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Interface Showroom, 1010 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Suite 710 in Washington, DC for What Renters Want: Multifamily Development Trends that Drive Occupancy. Multi-Housing News Editorial Director Diana Mosher; Laurence Caudle, AIA, Principal and Director of Housing at Hickok Cole Architects; and Rebecca D. Jones, IIDA, Founder + Principal, RD Jones & Associates will discuss the most compelling trends driving successful multifamily development and marketing.
As apartment units shrink to micro proportions, exceptional amenity spaces have taken on a whole new importance. This information-packed session will explore the design and marketing decisions that can help multifamily developers and investors differentiate their apartment properties in a competitive market, attract the lucrative Gen Y demographic and ensure resident retention for long-term occupancy. Our expert panel will share insights about a variety of trends shaping the apartment market including:
• Hospitality-inspired amenity spaces and outdoor lounge areas that create a sense of community
• What green materials and finishes matter most to today’s renters
• The wireless leasing office transitions to hip lounge
• How to satisfy Gen Y’s craving for customization
• Why you need to keep an eye on student housing trends.
