Quality Cabinets’ New Line with Knotty Maple Wood

Quality Cabinets has introduced knotty maple, a new wood species known for its rustic look to its existing product offerings. The new species is available in two new door styles, Meriwether (pictured) and Wayfarer. “Knotty maple is a species of wood that offers an informal charm of a forest cabin or a mountain lodge,” says Mary Jo Mosiniak, product manager. Knots of varying size and color throughout the wood characterize knotty maple. The maple also has mineral streaks, bark pockets, worm holes, heartwood, sugar tracks as well as clear, unmarked wood, providing a distinctive character to every board. No two cabinets are alike, which allows multifamily developers to create distinctive kitchens in their properties. Meriwether is a standard-overlay door with a solid wood, raised center panel, following design of Quality Cabinets’ Heritage door style. A full-overlay, Wayfarer has wide rails and stiles with a completely new center panel. Both cabinets feature slab-style drawer fronts and both are part of Quality Cabinets’ Designer Series. They are offered in seven finishes including Natural, Biscotti, Butterscotch, Praline, Café, Cordovan and Dulce.www.qualitycabinets.com
