Product Spotlight: Gerber Undercounter Sinks
- Jun 06, 2016
Modern renters are paying record prices to live in multifamily properties, so it’s only fair that their expectations are as high as their bills are. As a growing number of people are embracing the freedom that a rental provides, apartments with a more modern, seamless aesthetic are gaining popularity because of the opportunity to customize decor as well as the added space that comes with simpler features. This trend naturally extends to the bathroom, one of the spaces that is traditionally short on space in rental apartments.
Undercounter sinks, like the newest offerings from Gerber, have risen in popularity as a way to maximize counter space and simplicity. In fact, the National Kitchen and Bath Association reports that 90 percent of today’s bathroom projects are designed with an undercounter sink as the fixture of choice. The new Gerber products, which are offered in both round and oval styles, lead to increased counter and floor space, as well as increased user scenarios, like room for two people brushing their teeth at once.
“Homeowners, designers, hospitality and multi-family decision-makers, residential builders and other trade professionals love the seamless design of an undercounter sink,” said Lovin Saini, Gerber’s senior product manager. “Both the round and oval geometry play to that styling and the simplicity and elegance a sink should bring to any bathroom.” Both round and oval options have a subtle slotted front overflow and come in white finish with a limited lifetime warranty.
The new product options are:
- Luxoval Round Undercounter Lavatory (Model #13-740), which features a 16-inch by 16-inch round shape with a 7-inch bowl depth.
- Luxoval Oval Undercounter Lavatory (Model #13-743), which has a sink size of 17.6 by 14.6 inches, and also has a 7-inch bowl depth.
