Product Spotlight: Exitronix Emergency Lighting
- Aug 18, 2016
When a maintenance faux pas or natural disaster impedes access to power, lighting is the most inconvenient—and dangerous—thing to lose. During a power outage, emergency lighting is crucial and required in order to fix the problem or evacuate residents. While emergency lighting is a necessity, it can often be cumbersome to install, replace or maintain.
In order to save costs and time, Barron Lighting Group, the originator of the Exitronix brand, has added two new product types to its fleet of emergency lighting solutions. The SCL and CRL Series, both compact designs constructed of high-quality steel, offer a bevy of cost-saving features. Most prominently, both products have a hinged door which provides access to the six-volt NiMH battery without exposure to line voltage or using tools. A patent-pending numeric display guarantees foolproof status detection while the fully-adjustable LED lamp heads provide best-in-class optical performance.
“We listened to our customer’s needs to provide a solution for performance and lowering ongoing maintenance repair time and costs for years to come,” said Alan Tracy, owner, and president of Barron Lighting Group. With brownout, low-voltage, overload and short circuit protection, both lights have a 90-minute emergency run time and a 24-hour recharge cycle.
The SCL Series is designed for wall or stem mount installations and operates in a broad temperature range of 32-102 degrees Fahrenheit. The CRL Series is tailored for recessed T-bar ceiling applications, and has a clean, all-white finish that blends with architectural elements for a seamless design.
