Pre-Leasing Commences at New Vernon Hills, Ill., Luxury Community

Chicago—REVA Development Partners has announced that is has started pre-leasing for its 304-unit luxury community The Oaks of Vernon Hills in the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills, Ill. The lease-up and management of the community will be handled by Kinzie Real Estate Group and the first residents are expected to occupy the property in September.

“With construction continuing at a strong pace, The Oaks is taking shape and we’re excited to begin pre-leasing the flats and rowhomes to our very first residents,” says Matt Nix, principal of REVA Development Partners. “There has been a lot of attention paid to this development from the community and interested renters since it was announced, and this milestone puts us one step closer to completion.”

The development is spread across 27 acres and features a mix of three-story garden-style apartment buildings and rental rowhomes that are configured into a series of pocket neighborhoods. Floor plans for the apartment flats are available in one- and two-bedroom options that range in size from 696 to 1,212 square feet, while the rowhomes offer two- and three-bedroom options with sizes from 1,487 to 1,800 square feet and include an attached two-car garage. Rents for all units range from $1,400 to $2,795 per month, with prices subject to change. The community is seeking United State Green Building Council’s LEED Silver certification.

Core amenities at The Oaks of Vernon Hills include a clubhouse with catering kitchen, a theater/gaming room, state-of-the-art fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool with sundeck and fire pit. Additional features include a tot lot, dog park and green space that connect to walking trails.

“We have more than 200 potential residents who registered for our preview list, and there is a variety of people, including families, young couples, professionals and retirees,” Nix says. “The Oaks is a great option for those who seek high-end design and finishes typically found in a for-sale condominium or townhome development with the flexibility and lifestyle benefits of a luxury rental community.”

With relatively little marketing efforts up to this point, Nix says that the community is receiving calls daily based primarily on its drive-by appeal.

The Oaks at Vernon Hills is located conveniently close to I-294 and Milwaukee Avenue and about one mile from both the Vernon Hills and Prairie View Metra stations.
