- Apr 04, 2015
A shuttered office building at 2800 Skelly Drive in Tulsa will be demolished to make room for a new office complex developed by the Petrous Group. The company plans to replace the outdated two-story asset with a 60,000-square-foot office building, Tulsa World reports.
Built in the 1970s, the 2800 Center encompasses 36,708 square feet of office space. Developers expect to attract medical tenants to the new building, since the site is between St. Francis Hospital and St. Johns Hospital. Petrous Group is collaborating with Moab Development on the project, according to the Tulsa World. Redevelopment coss are estimated at $10 million.
Petrous Group’s CEO, John Rupe, told reporters that many buildings in the area have suffered following the completion of the I-44 expansion last year. The company has developed a 14,000-square-foot building next door to the 2800 Center building, as well as various other projects in the Tulsa area.
