Panasonic Designs Inconspicuous Home Monitoring System

HomeHawk Floor features a 140-degree wide-angle lens, microphone and speaker for two-way communication and video recording with motion detection.

Panasonic has introduced HomeHawk Floor, a home monitoring system that doubles as an ambient lighting floor lamp. Compared to traditional security devices, which look like monitoring cameras, the HomeHawk is designed to complement and blend into interior spaces.

HomeHawk Floor features include:

  • a 140-degree wide-angle lens
  • a microphone and speaker for two-way communication
  • battery power backup
  • pre-recording
  • full HD color night vision
  • video recording with motion detection
  • geo-fencing to automatically change the preset based on location
  • a microSD card slot to record video for playback on a desktop device
  • three height options up to 6 feet

The installation consists of plugging the device into any outlet. HomeHawk syncs with iOS and Android devices for real-time monitoring and control from mobile devices. The product is also compatible with major voice assistant services.
