Panama—Panama is set to be the next location to appear on Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.’s roster after the company only recently announced the fact that the W Panama will be part of the Evolution Tower, a new mixed-use development set to take shape in the city’s financial district. The 50-floor tower is developed by the Evolution Tower Corp. joint venture created by F & F Properties and EFC Group, Inc., that will be constructed on Calle 50, in the immediate vicinity of Panama’s most stylish area. The building is located in close proximity to the airport, as well as a number of other points of interest.

The high-rise is a mixed-use development that will feature premium office space, aimed at tenants waiting for the opportunity of a financial district address. Osvaldo Librizzi, co-president of the Americas, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, expressed his excitement at partnering with Evolution Tower Corp, praising their “strong presence in high-end construction and iconic development.”The building has an unveiling date for 2016.

W Panama is presented as a high-end presence, in a layered form, staying in tune with the building’s design, created by Panamanian architect Saul Bassan. The tower’s façade will be one of the most important stylistic pieces the development has to offer. Responsible for the hotel’s interior design are Krause & Sawyer, who have the difficult task of keeping in tune with the flamboyant exterior.

The hotel’s specifications reveal 203-regular guest rooms, 24 upper tier suites, as well as the three, more extravagant, Wow suites. The W Panama will also feature an Extreme Wow suite, which is W Hotels’ take on the classic presidential suite. Dining options include two signature restaurants while lounging is provided by another re-imagining: the W Living Room experience is the classic hotel lobby, redone by W Hotels. Other amenities guests will enjoy are the destination nightclub, WET pool deck, spa and a fitness center totaling 8,400 square feet. The hotel will also provide approximately 22,000 square feet of meeting space divided into a Great Room and six other smaller meeting rooms.
