Nineteen01 Luxury Apartments in Santa Ana Completed
- Aug 29, 2016
Santa Ana, Calif.—Lyon Living and Integral Communities have put the finishing touches on Nineteen01, a new apartment development in Santa Ana. The property includes 264 units at 1901 E. 1st St. in downtown Santa Ana.
The property was designed by Coe Architecture International and Danielian Associates. Lifescapes International did the landscape design, which was the most recently completed aspect of the development.
Lifescapes International designed the main entrance and exterior perimeter of the community, as well as many of its common amenities. These include an elevated recreation deck with resort-style pool and spa, private cabanas, central courtyard and outdoor seating areas, as well as gardens that flow throughout the entire property.
In addition to including sustainable features, the landscaping also features constructed natural, “implied” walls and canopies to create enclosed gathering spaces for residents, according to Lifescapes. Concrete and pavers of subtle colors, finishes and varying sizes were installed to define spaces and encourage circulation patterns, designating social hubs throughout the property.
“Nineteen01 reimagines and redefines what apartment living means in Orange County,” said Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs, president of Lifescapes International. “Our vision was to create a resort-style flair that combined intimate and dynamic spaces that would deliver a true live/work/play environment that residents are demanding.”
The community features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, including townhomes. Residences feature quartz countertops, french door refrigerators, oversized tubs, in-unit washers and dryers, and patios or balconies.
Amenities offering a luxury experience include: a clubhouse with fireplace, TVs, Wi-Fi, billiards and demonstration kitchen; open entertainment area with outdoor seating; fitness center; business center; pet spa; bike storage and gated access with key fob control.
Lyon Living is a Newport Beach, Calif.-based developer and property manager specializing in multifamily. Diversified real estate firm Integral is likewise a Newport Beach company, and Nineteen01 is only their latest collaboration. Among other things, the partners are also at work on the 340-unit The George in the Platinum Triangle of Anaheim, which is the most expensive rental market in Orange County, according to Rentbits.com.
But Santa Ana rents are catching up, averaging between $1,800 and $2,000 per month, compared with the immediate post-recessionary years of 2011 to 2013, when the average didn’t rise much above $1,600 a year.
