Lansing, Mich.Gillespie Group, a Lansing-based residential and commercial real estate developer, announced the opening of the Outfield Ball Park Lofts, an upscale residential community adjacent to Cooley Law School Stadium in downtown Lansing. Located on Michigan Avenue, the three-story, 84-unit community is made up of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 548 to over 800 square feet. Half of the apartments face the stadium.

Each unit includes a private balcony and patio, washer and dryer, luxury vinyl plank flooring, custom wood cabinetry, customary interior appointments and floor to ceiling windows offering spectacular ball game views. Common amenities include onsite parking, controlled building access and pet-friendly policies. Rents start at $875 for the studios and can range up to $1,250 for the larger apartments. The structure was built on top of a one-story hall that also includes the stadium’s restaurant.

The community addresses baseball fans, who will be able enjoy each of the Lansing Lugnuts’ games from the privacy of their own patio, living room or from “Club 420″, a viewing area situated at exactly 420 feet from the home plate.

Outfield Apartments is located in downtown Lansing’s Stadium District, a vibrant neighborhood, close to shops, restaurants and important educational and medical institutions such as Michigan State University and Sparrow Hospital. The $11 million investment—which was financed in part by a $2.5 million equity investment by the Michigan Economic Development Corp.— took one year to complete and it was the result of a partnership with the city of Lansing.
