Modern Forms has unveiled its ULTRA Germicidal Smart Fan that disinfects the air and helps reduce the concentration of airborne pathogens.

The unit produces 5172 cubic feet per minute of airflow on its highest setting. ULTRA combines an ultraviolet-C LED module with a ceiling fan that circulates air beyond a room’s occupied space.

These combined processes push a significant volume of the air in a room above the unit, where it’s exposed to UV-C radiation, before travelling back down to the occupied space.

ULTRA is available in a 54-inch size, and finish options include: brushed nickel housing with matte black blades, matte black housing with matching blades, and matte white housing with matching blades.

The fan is made from stainless steel and features ABS blades. The unit is Energy Star rated, with a motor that’s 70 percent more efficient than a traditional fan.

ULTRA includes a Bluetooth remote that controls the unit’s six speeds and the direction of the air. The fan can also be linked to smart home devices, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
