Mitsui Fudosan Joins Urban Visions in Pike/Pine High-Rise

Seattle's Pike/Pine corridor is one of the hottest development areas, and that pace is expected to continue.

SeattleHFF recently arranged joint venture equity for the 2nd & Pike project, a luxury residential apartment tower in downtown Seattle. Developer Urban Visions worked with HFF Senior Managing Directors Gerry Rohm, Bruce Ganong and Nick Kucha, and Managing Director Mark Erland. The team arranged the joint venture equity partnership with Mitsui Fudosan America, the U.S. arm of the Japan-based public real estate entity.

Located at 1430 Second Ave., the 2nd & Pike development will be a 39-story, Class A+ luxury residential apartment tower. The high-rise broke ground late last year and is slated for completion in December 2017. The unit mix at the property is set to consist of 340 apartments with an average size of 985 square feet. The building will also feature five levels of below-grade parking that will accommodate up to 244 vehicles, and a retail component of 11,910 square feet.

Designed by Seattle-based Olson Kundig Architects, the building will offer residents upscale amenities such as concierge service, gym, private dining/conference facilities, rooftop lounge space, resident lounge with full kitchen and eighth-floor, 6,000-square foot destination sky bar. The project will also be located three blocks away from Westlake Station, one of the most active transit hubs in the city.
