Mission Rock Residential Promotes Several Execs
- Mar 25, 2021
Mission Rock Residential is moving forward with its succession plans and has promoted several of its executives.
The company’s founding CEO, Tony Zanze, has moved to the role of Mission Rock’s chairman of the board where he will still be able to provide strategic advice to the company. Patricia Hutchinson, founding president at Mission Rock, will take over the role of CEO and focus on expanding the company’s portfolio across the U.S.
Hutchinson said in prepared remarks that she would grow Mission Rock’s East Coast client base alongside fostering strong client relationships with other major markets in the U.S. Hutchinson added in her prepared statement that the company recently entered the Florida market in 2020. More recently, the company picked up another management assignment with a 175-unit community in Portland, Ore., in February.
To fill Hutchinson’s former role, Meredith Wright has been promoted to the role of president from her previous position as executive vice president. As Mission Rock’s president, Wright will have final oversight regarding the company’s more than 27,000 units across 16 states.
According to Mission Rock, the leadership changes were planned since the company’s launch in 2012 and are part of its execution of succession plans.
REGIONAL EXECUTIVE ROLES
Alongside the top leadership role changes, Mission Rock is also promoting several team members to lead specific regions in the U.S. Kay Hutchinson has been promoted to senior executive vice president where she will continue to oversee the company’s Western Region.
Tasked with managing the company’s operations in central U.S., Janelle French has been promoted to executive vice president of the Central Region. French was a founding member of Mission Rock and initially joined the company as a regional manager for its metro Denver portfolio. Toni Moyes, another original member of the company’s regional management team, will be promoted to vice president, where she will be responsible for the oversight of Colorado and Kansas properties.
In the eastern U.S., Mission Rock has also promoted Andy Tsangarides to executive vice president of the Eastern Region. Tsangarides joined the company in 2016 and his tenure has led to growing Mission Rock’s East Coast presence from three assets in one state to more than 30 assets in six states.
