Luxury Condos, Class A Office Tower Planned for Uptown Dallas
- Feb 27, 2012
KDC announced plans to develop a 400,000-square-foot office tower in Victory Park. The developer formed a joint venture with Orlando-based Estein & Associates USA Ltd. for construction of the Class A tower in Uptown Dallas.
The project was planned in response to a high demand for office space in Uptown Dallas, John Brownlee, senior vice president at KDC, told the Dallas Business Journal. The developer believes the tower will offer tenants the best location in the submarket.
According to The Dallas Morning News, the proposed 23-story office tower and a 378-unit apartment building would be the first construction in Victory Park in more than five years. The office high-rise is also the first close-in Dallas development by KDC, the newspaper noted.
The tower’s entrance is planned to face Victory Park Lane. Amenities will include an upscale restaurant, deli and fitness center. The Dallas Business Journal states that KDC will begin construction this fall, with completion planned for late 2014. The architect is BOKA.
KDC’s Dallas/Fort Worth portfolio also includes projects like Bank One, at 400,000 square feet; BCBS Texas, at 1.1 million square feet; and Campus at Legacy, at 1.2 million square feet.
Also planned for Uptown Dallas is Stoneleigh Residences, a 22-story luxury condominium tower that will replace the partly built Stoneleigh condo tower, which was initially planned for completion in the fall of 2010. Developer Mehrdad Moayedi bought the project out of bankruptcy for $4.6 million.
Two years later, construction is restarting with plans for a maximum of 75 units when completed, down from the original 118 residences, the Dallas Morning News reported.
