- Jan 16, 2015
Jacksonville, Fla.–LandSouth Construction and developer Ability Housing Project of Northeast Florida Inc. have teamed up to begin construction of Village on Wiley, a $4 million affordable housing project located on Jacksonville’s Westside. The 26,818 square foot project is being funded by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2015.
The development is located on 4.3 acres. When completed, Village on Wiley will include 43 units and 12 buildings. PQH Architects designed the type of quadplex units for the project. Upon completion, the community will feature a clubhouse, business center and an onsite laundry facility.
Together, LandSouth Construction and Ability House will be “addressing the need for high-quality housing in Jacksonville,” says Joe Passkiewicz, vice president of operations for LandSouth Construction.
Jason Cromer, project manager for LandSouth, says, “LandSouth is very excited to be a part of the project as the level of commitment and focus of what Ability Housing is trying to provide in terms of quality of living for the residents of Jacksonville is amazing.”
