Tampa, Fla.–JLL’s Capital Markets recently announced that John Sabatier has joined the company as executive vice president. Based in Clearwater, Fla., Sabatier will be working under the direction of International Director Tim Leonhard.
Sabatier is tasked with strengthening the firm’s affordable housing debt and equity platform. He specializes in tax-exempt multifamily housing revenue bonds, investment banking, and financial advisory services for state and county issuers.
With 24 years of experience, Sabatier joins the firm from RBC Capital Markets LLC, where he focused on structured Multifamily Mortgage Revenue bonds and was responsible for settling $1.3 billion in multifamily issuances.
Sabatier earned his BS Degree in finance with a real estate concentration from The University of New Orleans and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
“Affordable housing lending is one of the most important issues facing the industry and while we’re facing a shortage of product, we’ve seen a growing commitment from lenders to provide more financing options as we partner with them to address the shortage of affordable properties,” said Leonhard in prepared remarks. “John’s breadth of knowledge across low-income housing tax credits, municipal finance and various other credit structures for affordable housing will complement the full scope of JLL’s multifamily services and immediately benefit our clients.”
