New York—A new luxury building, called The Pointe, on the North Shore of Staten Island, N.Y., has already attracted a lot of attention among buyers.
“We had a lot of interest from prospective buyers prior to grand opening, and we’re seeing that pent-up excitement immediately translate into sales activity,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors, the company in charge of The Pointe’s marketing and sales, says in a press statement.
The Pointe, which is managed by Meadow Partners, includes 57 apartments with one- and two-bedroom units. The units range in size from 962 to 1,255 square feet and are priced from the $300,000s.
The building includes an attended lobby, with marble flooring, stone boarders and custom wall coverings.
Individual apartments include stainless steel kitchen appliances, in-unit washer and dryers and lots of closet space. Additionally, each residence include a private outdoor space with views of the Manhattan skyline and Hudson River.
The Pointe is located near the Alice Austen House Museum, the St. George Theater and Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences, Richmond County Bank Ballpark, the stadium for the New York Yankee’s class-A minor league team, the St. George Historic District, Snug Harbor, The Staten Island Children’s Museum and the Staten Island Botanical Garden.
The luxury building also means a renewed interest in St. George, the “gateway” to Staten Island, as well as the extended Staten Island North Shore Waterfront.
“In just the first week of our sales program, we’ve seen how potential purchasers instantly appreciate the extraordinary value found here in terms of bright, sunny homes with high ceilings and amazing living space in a building with new, custom-designed common areas,” Urgo says. “Coupled with our attractive prices and a location that’s a Manhattan commuter’s dream, we believe this exciting residential offering will appeal to everyone from current renters moving up to homeownership to empty nesters looking to scale down to a more manageable, maintenance-free lifestyle. We’re certainly encouraged by the initial response, and we are confident that we’ll continue to build momentum as more and more people visit the building.
