Halstead Announces New Director of Communications

Maya Kriet will be responsible for managing the brokerage firm’s day-to-day public relations activities.

Maya_Kriet_Headshot_2New York—Halstead Property, a residential real estate brokerage firm in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, announced that Maya Kriet joined the firm as its new director of communications. Kriet will work closely with Halstead Chief Executive Officer Diane M. Ramirez and President Richard J. Grossman and will be responsible for managing all of the firm’s day-to-day public relations activities. Robyn Kammerer, Halstead’s executive director of communications, will be transitioning into a new role as executive director of sales for Halstead’s Darien and Rowayton offices where she will be co-directing 90 agents with the current executive director, Charlotte Felt.

Kriet brings to Halstead extensive experience in public relations and marketing at both the national and international levels. Prior to joining Halstead, she served as vice president at Group Gordon, a corporate public relations firm headquartered in New York, where she worked across a variety of industries including real estate, technology and financial services. Within the real estate industry, Kriet has worked with a range of companies including developers, REITs, financing institutions and non-profit organizations. In her senior role at Group Gordon, she was responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies, managing media relations and providing daily strategic counsel and crisis management to clients.

Previously, Kriet led the North American marketing and communications division for Earnix, a global software company based out of Israel. She earned her B.A. in political science from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
