First Post-Recession Condo Underway on Miami’s Brickell Avenue

Rilea Group is bringing Brickell Avenue something it hasn't seen since the economic downturn: a new condo development. The Bond on Brickell, a 44-story luxury community, is expected to open in early 2016.

Bond2Miami—Downtown Miami’s Brickell Avenue is about to get something it hasn’t seen since the economic downturn: a new condo development.  The new development, a project brought forth by Miami development firm Rilea Group and located at 1080 Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami, will bring 328 new luxury residences to the area market via The Bond on Brickell, a 44-story luxury community that is expected to open in early 2016.

“The Brickell brand resonates internationally, so the start of construction on The Bond is in many ways a symbol of Downtown Miami’s rebound,” says Cervera Real Estate Managing Partner Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, who is heading up the sales efforts for the new community. “Brickell is synonymous with an upscale, urban lifestyle that appeals to buyers from around the world and that is the driving force behind Rilea Group. That’s a powerful combination in a competitive market.”

Construction has already begun on the community, and once it’s completed, The Bond will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, but will also have select executive lofts and penthouses for sale.

Bond1Loguer Design has been tapped for interior and exterior design at The Bond and the company intends to enhance the community with a British glam theme that will include mid-century modern furniture, hand-stitched leather and suede walls and other vintage elements to the buildings décor.  Additionally, the community’s public spaces will feature limited edition photography of some of Britain’s most famous celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Kate Moss, Jacqueline Bisset, Elton John, Twiggy, Michael Cane and more, as well as an original British Telecom phone booth that has been restored to museum quality and delivered from London.

As with the design, The Bond will not fall short by way of amenities.  The developer, which tapped Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates architecture and planning firm to design the building, have included a package that includes a T-shaped zero-edge pool that overlooks the city, as well as a library, a children’s learning center and great room with sitting areas, a billiards table, and a wet bar and kitchen.  Residents will also have the opportunity to use private cabanas equipped with kitchens, a large fire pit, and a covered, but still open air, Jacuzzi area. Active residents will enjoy the community’s fitness center and spa area that offers high-end equipment, floor-to-ceiling windows and men’s and women’s steam room and saunas.

“We launched sales for The Bond on Brickell six months ago and the building is already becoming the address of choice for residents seeking a luxury residence with proximity to Downtown Miami’s most desirable shops, restaurants, and arts and entertainment venues,” says Diego Ojeda, vice president Rilea Group. “Having the luxury of an actual Brickell Avenue address is very rare these days and something buyers will continue to see value in.”

If the amenities weren’t enough, buyers will be swayed by the residences’ interiors.  Each unit will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors to glass balconies that will offer views of Downtown Miami.  Additionally, the units’ living areas and kitchens will include stainless steel Bosch appliances, European styled cabinetry, Silestone countertops, backsplashes and vanities. Bathrooms will don Porcelanosa designer faucets, porcelain flooring, double vanities and frameless glass shower enclosures in select units. Key architectural elements include an open kitchen-to-living room concept divided by a breakfast bar to allow for entertaining.
