U.S. GDP growth for 2018 remains unchanged at 2.7 percent, according to the Fannie Mae Economic and Strategic Research Group’s May 2018 Economic and Housing Outlook, but the forecast isn’t as bright for 2019 and 2020. The firm expects a fading fiscal stimulus and tightening labor market to contribute to lower economic growth over the next two years. A recent Reuters survey of economics concurs with this view.
