Do Amenities Distract Students?
- Jan 07, 2015
In a recent poll on MHN, we asked: Does highly amenitized off-campus housing distract residents from their scholarly pursuits?
Of our responders, 63 percent said that students would find a way to distract themselves whether they have nice amenities or not; 21 percent said that properties with a lot of amenities encourages community building that a dorm misses out on; 9 percent thought that amenities do prove to be a distraction; and 7 percent of responders said that off-campus housing with a lot of amenities prevents students from forming a bond with their institution.
