CPDC Announces Additions To Its Board of Directors

Silver Spring, Md.—Community Preservation and Development Corporation (CPDC) announced that Laura Bailey of Capital One Bank and James A. Brodsky of Weiner Brodsky Kider PC will join its board of directors. In addition, the leadership of CPDC that Linda Davenport will now be board chair and Fernando Lemos has joined Phyllis Caldwell as board vice chair.
Laura Bailey is currently managing vice president of community finance for Capital One. Before joining Capital One, Baily’s experience included serving as regional executive, community development banking at Bank of America and as vice president at JPMorgan Chase. She earned concurrent degrees in Finance from the Wharton School and in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
James A. Brodsky is a founding member of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Weiner Brodsky Kider PC. Prior to entering private law practice in 1977, Brodsky was a deputy assistant secretary with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He also served as a law clerk in the federal courts in the District of Columbia. Brodsky received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Law Journal, and received graduate and undergraduate degrees from Columbia University and Cornell University.
