Corvias Group Announces New EVP of Property Management and SVP of Construction Operations

East Greenwich, R.I.—Corvias Group, a privately-owned, vertically-integrated real estate solutions group, announced that Charles E. Parker (Chuck) has been hired as executive vice president of property management and Edward Milch has been hired as senior vice president of construction operations.
With 25 years of experience in real estate and public-partnership ventures, Parker will work closely with Corvias Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Michael De La Rosa, and will be responsible for strategic growth initiatives for property management across both the military and student housing divisions. He will also be an integral part of new business development and organizational growth. Parker will mentor his team members and develop long-range property management objectives and organizational plans.
Milch joins Corvias Group after spending eight years managing construction projects at Brown University, and most recently six years at Bryant University. As senior vice president of construction operations, Milch will be responsible for all aspects of construction, including fiscal management, long-range planning, scheduling, delivery, construction quality, safety, employee relations, performance management, accountability, compensation, staffing and cost control. Milch will also oversee the development and implementation of new business opportunities across both the military and student housing divisions.
Parker spent nine years as senior vice president and executive vice president with Lend Lease, an international property and infrastructure group. At Lend Lease, Parker served in various executive roles, including portfolio director and director of business development. He oversaw the development, property management and operations of more than 25,000 units of privatized housing for the U.S. military. He also led the asset management strategy for the $300 million contract for the privatization of 3,500 units of Army housing at Fort Drum and the privatization of Army Lodging Group A (PAL). In his last role at Lend Lease, Parker led the business development start-up for Lend Lease partnerships in Brazil. Prior to Lend Lease, Parker spent 10 years as vice president and president of property management at SWH Properties. In this role, Parker founded and led the day-to-day operations of SWH’s apartment and hotel management operating company, consisting of 8,500 apartment and hotel units in 20 markets across 13 states.
Parker graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. He spent five years on active duty as an Army helicopter and fixed wing aviator.
Milch brings 25 years of experience in both academic and institutional private sector environments to Corvias Group. While at Bryant University, he was directly responsible for the planning, design, procurement and construction of all capital construction and renovation projects on campus. He also managed a multi-million dollar capital budget and created a custom budget reporting system. At Brown University, Milch was the lead project manager in charge of directing multiple projects and negotiating vendor contracts.
Milch has earned a bachelor of science degree in building construction from Wentworth Institute of Technology as well as associate degrees in applied science and building construction technology. He has an unrestricted construction supervisor’s license in Massachusetts, completed a Supervisory Development Program (SDP II) and has participated in various other leadership and training seminars. Milch is an active volunteer for the Mendon-Upton Joint Town Library Task Force Feasibility and Building Committee, as well as a construction foreman and tech crew volunteer for the Encore Repertory Theater.
