The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently presented its ENERGY STAR designation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Headquarters in Atlanta in recognition of the facility’s commitment to protecting the environment through energy efficient practices and management. The six-story, 143,000-square-foot building at 1275 Peachtree Street in Midtown is managed by the Atlanta Cassidy Turley office.

“As commercial property managers, it is our responsibility to ensure our clients’ properties are managed in the most cost-effective and resourceful manner,” said Holly Hughes, senior managing director of property management in Cassidy Turley’s Atlanta office. “Energy efficiency has always been an important component of building operations at Cassidy Turley, due to both financial and environmental concerns. ENERGY STAR provides a solid, widely recognized standard by which we can evaluate a building’s performance.”

Before becoming home to Boys and Girls Clubs of America, 1275 Peachtree served as the headquarters of the commercial real estate services firm Carter. In September 2011, Cassidy Turley purchased Carter’s brokerage and property management divisions and entered the Atlanta market.

“Achieving the ENERGY STAR designation at 1275 Peachtree had been an important goal for us at Cassidy Turley, and we couldn’t be happier to have achieved that goal,” Hughes added. “Our commitment to sustainability is one of the many things that sets Cassidy Turley apart in the marketplace.”

Cassidy Turley—a leading commercial real estate services provider with more than 3,600 professionals in more than 60 offices nationwide—ranked #14 in the 2012 Greenest Companies List released by Multi-Housing News and Commercial Property Executive. The full list is available here.
