Carnegie’s New Clean Slate Upholstery Keeps High Traffic Design Features Fresh
- Sep 09, 2014
Keeping high-traffic common spaces looking tidy is no easy task. This is more true today than ever due to shrinking units and growing amenity spaces. But resilience does not mean cutting corners with design. Take the new Clean Slate upholstery collection from textile manufacturer Carnegie.
The new Clean Slate fabric is a great choice for custom furniture or wrapped panels to accent a clubroom. A ground breaking “repeal and release” technology keeps stains on the surface of the fabric, so even ballpoint pen will wipe away with only a dry cloth. Other “oops” moments that are cleaned up with just a dry cloth include: lipstick, mascara, ketchup, mustard, coffee and soy sauce.
Clean Slate can also withstand cleaning with bleach, isopropyl alcohol and Virex 256 (for healthcare applications). The material itself is made from a polycarbonate resin, which is soft-to-the-touch, as well as resistant to humidity, heat and light, all while remaining antibacterial and antimicrobial.
Available in five textures (see second image) and 52 color options, there is a certainly a Clean Slate style that fits with your next design job.
