Carnegie Wins Two GOOD Design Awards

New York–Carnegie, a manufacturer and innovator of textiles in North America, won two 2014 GOOD DESIGN awards from Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for Xorel Cirque Couture and Xorel Monocle embroider patterns. Previously, Carnegie won a GOOD DESIGN Award for Alphacoustic, Betacoustic and Gammacoustic from Creation Baumann of Switzerland. GOOD DESIGN evaluates entries based on innovation, form, materials and construction, concept, function, utility and aesthetic appeal since the award’s creation in 1950. In 2014, the museum received submissions from several thousand of the world’s leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms from around the world.
