By Anuradha Kher, Online News EditorSan Francisco–Capital Properties recently introduced 85 flexible-stay units within its 320-unit Rincon Residential Towers, located at 88 Howard St. in San Francisco. The studios, one- and two-bedroom units offer short- and long-term rental options with a minimum stay of 30 days and four-star services. The property is located one block from the Ferry Building, the Embarcadero and a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport) station.“The difference between our units and other extended-stay units is that we have personally chosen the furniture and designed the homes, unlike others that just take an apartment and throw in some rented furniture,” Angie Miller, general manager of property, tells MHN. Unit interiors were created by award-winning design company McCartan to capture a modern aesthetic and streamlined style.“This is mainly intended for the business travelers but we also have people who are in the city to check it out before buying or renting, or others who are moving homes,” adds Miller. The units have hotel-like amenities that include Wi-Fi Internet access, Nintendo Wii units, maid service, 24-hour security, complete concierge services, on-site parking, and a full-service on-property grocer.Altavie also features floor-to-ceiling windows, flat screen televisions, Bose iPod sound docks and sleek, energy-efficient appliances. Natural materials such as white oak, stone and zebrawood were used extensively to evoke a fresh and modern mood, and provocative furnishings were custom designed to add intrigue while optimizing space.
