MitzyRoweCEOBristol, Conn.—The Bristol Housing Authority has announced that long-time Executive Director Mitzy Rowe has been promoted to chief executive officer. Rowe’s transition to CEO formalizes much of the responsibility she has already assumed.  She is responsible for the daily operation of the Housing Authority, whose authority and direction is provided by the Board of Commissioners, the members of which are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Bristol, Conn.

In 2000, Rowe began her career with the Bristol Housing Authority as a tenant relations officer.  She was promoted in 2001 to supervisor of housing services. Rowe became interim executive director in 2004. For nine years she served as executive director before being promoted in July to CEO.

The Bristol Housing Authority operates housing for elderly, non-elderly disabled persons and for families that meet the low and moderate income criteria for the federal and state programs.
