Berkshire Adds Managing Director in Boston

Boston—Berkshire Group has announced that Jon Frey has joined the firm as managing director. Frey will co-head the newly created Berkshire Business Development area together with Managing Director John Bottomley. The new area will include client relations, communications, product development and strategic planning.

“He will play a key role in realizing Berkshire’s commitment to meeting the needs of our investors and to having a fully developed and integrated in-house client relations and product strategy capability,” said Chuck Leitner, CEO of Berkshire, in prepared remarks.

Prior to joining the company, Frey was a managing director at The Davis Cos. where he was head of the investor relations division. He also held real estate investment management roles at Baypoint Group and AEW. Frey has been involved in over $2 billion worth of real estate transactions in both Canada and the United States.

Prior to his real estate career, Frey worked in the San Francisco Bay area at Sapient Corp. for 10 years, developing internet-based businesses for both start-ups and established companies.
