Behringer Harvard, Hillwood Add High-End M-F Phases
- Feb 14, 2012
The second phase of the Allegro II residential development has recently broken ground. Behringer Harvard, the developer of the luxury apartment community, bought the housing community in December 2010.
The second phase will be adjacent to the project’s first phase, which includes 272 units with luxury finishes and amenities like private patios, brushed nickel hardware and granite countertops, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The second phase will be built on a 1.2-acre tract of land on the same site as a 70-acre mixed-use development.
The property will include a resort-style pool and spa with private cabanas and lounge, an outdoor games deck and spin-biking area, two landscaped courtyards, a barbecue area, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a game room with kitchen and billiards table, a tanning bed and a business center.
Meanwhile, Fort Worth-based Hillwood Properties, through its subsidiary Hillwood Multifamily, has begun construction on Phase II of Monterra Village, a 130-acre mixed-use community. The multi-family community is located within the developer’s Alliance Texas, a 17,000-acre master-planned mixed-use development. Hillwood plans to develop more than 3,000 units on this site in the next 10 years, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
The new phase will add 262 apartment homes, including one-, two- and three-bedroom units; it is expected to be ready for occupancy in September 2012. Second-phase amenities will complement the existing townhome-style apartments, which feature a lagoon-style resort pool, fire pit, state-of-the-art fitness center with stand-up tanning bed, pet park, business center and social room with gaming center. Phase II will include a second pool with lap lanes, additional fitness center, new pet wash and an additional pet park.
