Architect Selected for Next Phase of Walkable Development

Cagan Management Group has awarded the design contract of the second phase of the Glen at Cagan Crossings to Forum Architecture & Interior Design, an Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based firm. Construction of the project is slated to begin in the fall.

Clermont, Fla.—Cagan Management Group has awarded the design contract of the second phase of the Glen at Cagan Crossings to Forum Architecture & Interior Design, an Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based firm. Construction of the project is slated to begin in the fall.

The second phase will include six three-story garden apartment buildings totaling 180 units. Forum also designed the first phase of the property, which included 612 units ranging in size from 677 square feet to 1,435 square feet. The first phase also features a 7,800-square-foot clubhouse with leasing office, fitness room and pool.

Cagan Crossings is a “Traditional Neighborhood Development” that currently includes over 1,200 apartment units. The development, which is designed for walking, features interconnected streets, buildings surrounded by village greens, tree-lined sidewalks, natural trails, a Town Center and a library. The Town Center at Cagan Crossings consists of 56,000 square feet of ground floor retail, with 50 second-floor apartment units, and the library measures 30,000 square feet.

Claremont is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford MSA, west of Orlando in Lake County. Greater Orlando is currently experiencing a multifamily building surge, with 2,700 units scheduled for delivery this year, compared with 1,200 in 2012, according to investment specialist Marcus & Millichap. The metro area will add a net of about 22,500 jobs this year.
