Apartment Community to Break Ground in Hyattsville
- Aug 22, 2012
Beltsville, Md.—A neighborhood of Hyattsville, Md. promises to take another step forward on its road to revitalization with the mid-September groundbreaking of a new 283-unit luxury apartment community. The development is from Silver Spring, Md.-based full-service residential and commercial real estate consulting firm Grady Management Inc.
To be called 3350 at Alterra, the mid-rise multifamily community will go up along Toledo Terrace in Hyattsville. It is to represent the first phase of a mixed-use, planned redevelopment of a half-century old rental complex called Belcrest Plaza.
In addition to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, 3350 at Alterra will feature a pool and fitness center, cyber cafe, lounge and game room. The community will offer bike storage in addition to its parking garage. Walking and biking are a big part of the area’s appeal, and the bike storage will encourage residents to get around the vibrant neighborhood without use of a car.
Enhancing the commuter convenience of 3350 at Alterra is its proximity to the Prince George’s Plaza Metro, which is just steps away from the development.
Community members, politicians and media representatives are expected to attend the groundbreaking celebration to be held September 14 at 10 a.m.
“Breaking ground on our first building with its new identity brings an element of excitement to revitalization of this part of Hyattsville,” says Gary Campbell, Grady Management president. “We are pleased to play a part in the history of this emergent arts district and its community.”
Grady Management oversees millions of dollars worth of income-producing property throughout Virginia and Maryland.
