Allegion Swears Allegiance to The Triangle Building
- Jul 24, 2015
Irish security solutions company Allegion has joined the team working on The Triangle Building in the heart of the Mile High City. The firm will supply architectural hardware for the 320,000-square-foot office building at 1550 Wewatta St., adjacent to Denver’s new and improved Union Station neighborhood.
Allegion will work with a team that also includes developer East West Partners, Architectural Doors, AndersonMasonDale Architects, BuildMark and Saunders Construction. Construction on the LEED Gold Certified building began in January 2014 and is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2015.
“This was an open specification project, where both the architect and the distributor shared a complete confidence in the products we found through Allegion,” said Architectural Doors President Jeff Hegstrom in a prepared statement. “With design being a crucial element for this new and modern space, Allegion brought a decorative offering that was preferred.”
The building incorporates 212,000 square feet of office space, 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and two levels of underground parking. The 10-story property will house, among others, Liberty Global—the world’s largest international cable company.
The Triangle Building features a unique triangular shape to fit the 0.9-acre site it sits upon, and will be one of Allegion’s more innovative projects. The company is also known for outfitting institutional buildings such as hospitals and schools.
