ACC to Open Indianapolis Student Housing

ACC partnered with Butler University to open another student housing facility in Indianapolis. The 648-bed community is slated to open in fall 2018.

American Campus Communities, manager and developer of high-quality student housing properties in the U.S., broke ground on a new property, a 648-bed community at Butler University in Indianapolis, slated to open in fall 2018.

The development will be the second one in the Butler University-American Campus Communities partnership. The partnership also delivered Fairview House in fall 2016. The American Campus Equity (ACE) program, which allows universities to modernize and expand their student housing without using their financial resources, structured the transaction. ACC delivers high-quality student housing at lower development costs and operating expenses, as well as affordable rents, to residents.

The community will be located on the southern border of the Boulder campus and will feature modern, suite-style accommodations and state-of-the-art amenities, including a fitness center and gaming lounges.

“The addition of this new facility is a critical step toward advancing Butler’s educational mission through superior campus amenities and the ultimate realization of Butler’s 2020 Vision as an innovative national leader in undergraduate residential education,” Butler President James Danko said, in a prepared statement. “By the time this new housing opens, we will have added almost 1,300 new beds to campus in two years and given prospective students yet another reason to choose Butler.”

At the begging of this year, ACC made a round of promotions at its headquarters in Austin, Texas.
