- Jun 21, 2013
After undergoing extensive renovation, the new Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown is finally open. This is the brand’s third property in the state of Maryland.
A former Tremont Suites Hotel, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown was developed by the Garrison Investment Group and Chartres Lodging Group. Kokua Hospitality, LLC is managing the 37-story property.
With a more contemporary look, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown features 300 remodeled and spacious guestrooms each with its own wet bar, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker, as well as flat-screen HD TVs. Property amenities also include complimentary Wi-Fi, fitness center, business center, and a seasonal outdoor pool.
Travelers in the downtown Baltimore area can now relax and dine at the B’more Bistro and Lounge, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown ‘s new food and beverage outlet. This 4,000-square-foot, 200-seat restaurant is located on the hotel’s second floor. And a new on-site Starbucks will open for guests this August.
The hotel also includes the most opulent event center in Baltimore, the Grand Historic Venue. It features 45,000 square feet of meeting space and pre-function space, with 19 banquet rooms across five floors and is located adjacent the newly converted property. Recognized as a top wedding venue in the Mid-Atlantic, it received five stars from The Knot and Wedding Wire, as well as a Brides Maryland 2011 editor’s choice for Best Reception Site.
“We are thrilled to officially complete our transformation to an Embassy Suites hotel, which will help us create an even warmer and more hospitable environment for our guests,” James LoBosco, managing director of Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown, said in a press statement. “We look forward to bringing the elevated and reliable services and guest satisfaction synonymous with the Embassy Suites brand to both business and leisure travelers looking for an upscale hotel option in the downtown Baltimore area.”
