  • Goodyear’s Headquarters in Akron Earns LEED Gold Rating

    The U.S. Green Building Council has recently awarded LEED Gold certification to The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's global headquarters building in Akron. At 639,000 square feet, it is now one of the largest LEED Gold certified buildings in the state of Ohio.

  • Cuyahoga County Finally Opens New Administrative HQs

    The new Cuyahoga County Administrative Headquarters building is finally open for business. Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, County Council President C. Ellen Connally, and Fred Geis of Geis Companies were present on July 15, at 2079 East 9th Street, to celebrate the event. The new headquarters will be home to more than 600 county employees.

  • Victory Center Prepares to Receive Tenants in Health-Tech Corridor

    Garson Victory LLC, a partnership led by real estate broker Scott Garson, purchased the old, vacant building at 7012 Euclid Avenue in late 2010 for $2.7 million. Soon after the acquisition, it started work on a redevelopment project to transform the property into the Victory Center, a mixed-use complex with offices, labs and research facilities. With all construction now finished, the new building is ready to welcome tenants.

  • Buffalo Lodging Associates to Manage Hilton Garden Inn Akron

    The Hilton Garden Inn Akron is scheduled to open this fall. The hotel is currently under development on three acres of land, on the former Goodyear world headquarters campus, at the corner of East Market Street and Kelly Avenue. It will be the first hotel constructed in Akron since 1980 and it will be managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC.

  • Construction Loan Secured for $10+M Eco-friendly Townhome Community

    Abode, Modern Lifestyle Developers, a real estate development company based in Cleveland, and First Federal Lakewood (FFL) have closed on a construction loan to finance the Clifton Pointe Luxury Ecohomes, a new multi-million-dollar townhome community located in Lakewood, Ohio. It will be one of the first modern ecohome development communities in the Midwest. "First Federal Lakewood was very excited to participate in the Clifton Pointe project," said Barry N. Ezell , FFL Commercial Loan Officer, in a news release. "This is a quality project adding luxury housing to Lakewood's diverse housing stock, allowing us to give back to the communities we serve."
