MetaHousing has broken ground on Stony Oaks Apartments, a 142-unit affordable housing community in Santa Rosa, Calif. R.D. Olson Construction serves as general contractor of the development slated for completion by April 2023.

The community will offer a mix of one- to three-bedroom units reserved for individuals and families earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income. Property amenities will include a community room, fitness center, media center, outdoor play areas and barbecues.

Located at 2542 Old Stony Point Road, the development will be 3 miles southwest of downtown Santa Rosa and its various retail, dining and entertainment options, and some 2 miles west of Interstate 101.

Architect Dahlin Group, B.K.F. Engineers, REYFF Electrical, HVAC Talent Air and Ampam Parks Mechanical will all partner with R.D. Olson Construction for the development of the project.

Focused on affordable and mixed-income communities, MetaHousing’s portfolio encompasses nearly 7,000 units across California, including projects under construction and in the planning stages, Yardi Matrix shows. Besides Stony Oaks Apartments, the firm has another Santa Rosa property in the planning stages, a 136-unit fully affordable community dubbed DeTurk Winery Village.
