Matthew R. Holberton Joins AREA Property Partners as Vice President

New York–Matthew R. Holberton has joined AREA Property Partners as a vice president. He will support the company’s marketing, capital raising and investor relations activities.

AREA, formerly known as Apollo Real Estate Advisors, is a leading international real estate investor and fund manager on behalf of prominent government and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, foundations, endowments, and high net worth individuals.

Most recently, Holberton was a principal of Allied Realty, a fully integrated multifamily real estate investment, development and property management company. Prior to joining Allied Realty, he was the chief operating officer of St. Charles Town Company, a Denver-based urban infill development and property management firm.

Previously, Holberton served as a managing director of Black Creek Capital, a real estate private equity firm that focuses on creating, building and managing a diverse portfolio of real estate operating platform businesses in the U.S. and Mexico. In addition, he was a member of Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group.
