Farris Capital Partners has acquired two garden-style multifamily communities in South Carolina. The properties, Epson Oaks and Churchill, total 144 units and are located in Moncks Corner and Goose Creek, near Charleston. Managing Director Mark Boyce of Berkadia Charleston advised seller Napali Capital. The purchase price could not immediately be learned.
Both properties are well situated in the rapidly-growing Charleston area and are prime candidates for small-scale renovations. Situated at 2000 Epson Plantation Drive in Moncks Corner, Epson Oaks was completed in 2003 and features 72 units. Located at 601 Old State Road in Goose Creek, Churchill Apartments was completed in 2008 and also offers 72 units. Both properties offer convenient access to Route 52.
Epson Oaks is a three-story property that features two- and three-bedroom apartment homes ranging in size from 1,217 to 1,370 square feet. A picnic area is among the property’s common-area amenities.
The location is less than a 15-minute walk to two shopping centers, Jaber’s Plaza and The Plaza at Tail Race. Two parks and recreational areas, Old Santee Canal Park and Berkeley County Blueways, are within a 10-minute drive.
Churchill Apartments also features two- and three-bedroom residences, ranging from 1,217 to 1,370 square feet in size. The property has its own fitness center.
The community is a five-minute walk to a shopping center called Red Bank Square and a 10-minute walk to Goose Creek Plaza. North Charleston Wannamaker County Park is about a five-minute drive away, and three other parks are approximately 15 to 30 minutes away. Last month, West Shore acquired The Preserve at Essex Farms in Charleston.
