Enterprise Community Partners Names Thomas Osdoba Vice President of Green Initiatives
Enterprise Community Partners Inc. announced that Thomas Osdoba has been named vice president, Enterprise Green Initiatives, effective January 1, 2013.
Columbia, Md—Enterprise Community Partners Inc. announced that Thomas Osdoba has been named vice president, Enterprise Green Initiatives, effective January 1, 2013. Osdoba has 22 years of experience building and managing green organizations and communities, and in the clean energy industry. He will be based in Enterprise’s Washington, D.C., office after relocating to the area from Portland, Ore.
Through its Green Initiatives, Enterprise catalyzes the public, private and nonprofit sectors in its effort to make all affordable housing nationwide green by 2020. Enterprise Green Communities Criteria is the first green building standard for affordable housing in the nation, and tools such as the new Project Management Guide assist the industry with implementing the criteria.
From 2008 to 2012, Osdoba served as founder and principal of TAO Strategies, a management consultancy focused on sustainability strategies, social enterprise and new business development. At TAO, he worked with several cities around the country to make their energy systems cleaner and more efficient. During that time, Osdoba was also the first managing director of the Center for Sustainable Business at the University of Oregon, an MBA program providing training for sustainable business leaders.
