New York—Duravit has unveiled a new line of bath covers and has expanded the offering of their popular PuraVida fixture line. The new bath covers are designed to make a bathroom a full-fledged living and lounging space. The space savers are a smart solution to add functionality and versatility, especially to smaller bathrooms typical of denser infill projects. The covers can either be set up as a padded deck to lounge on, or can be arranged to hold books, towels or a bowl of ice cream while the user relaxes.

The covers are produced with high-quality faux leathers to provide a luxurious feel that will have a long life in the bathroom. They are available in white and anthracite (a dark grey) colors, and are even offered with a cut-out to accommodate a shower hose. Each cover is available in five sizes and can accommodate 330 pounds.

Duravit has also expanded the offerings of their popular PuraVida collection with deeper washbasins and new consoles. The new collection is being called PuraVida+. The new fixtures remain constant in design with the rest of the line, which features rounded corners and subtle luxuries. The new products were designed by Phoenix Design and are aimed at catering to a wider range of bathroom configurations and sizes.

The PuraVida+ washbasin and console have a deep profile, which makes the units more practical for the user, according to Duravit. The line also offers a small, though still deep, basin for smaller bathrooms. The range also features consoles for surface mounted washbasins up to 70 ¾” wide for large bathrooms. All fixtures can be easily adapted to the apartment architecture and design scheme.

The fixtures are available in a wide variety of colors and finishes. High gloss finishes can complement the smooth lines of the designs, and color combinations such a white and red can add poignant touch of flare to an otherwise minimalist bathroom design.
