CIM Group has acquired EOS Twenty-One, a 1,180-unit apartment community in Alexandria, Va. The community encompasses 14 four- and five-story buildings spread over a 30-acre site.
In close proximity to Van Dorn Plaza, the property sits four miles from Old Town Alexandria and is within a 10-minute walk from Landmark Mall. The community includes 260 studio, 375 one-bedroom and 545 two-bedroom apartments.
Located at 140 South Van Dorn St., the apartment community had a sequential development, constructed in phases between 1968 and 1972. Recent renovations updated EOS Twenty-One to modern living requirements. The property offers a direct shuttle service to the Van Dorn Metro Station, which allows easy connection to Washington, D.C., Pentagon City, Crystal City and the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.
The apartment community features commons amenities like a clubhouse, fitness center, game room, business center, theater room, two swimming pools, tennis courts, barbecue and picnic areas, a playground and a dog park. Other on site facilities include a convenience store and deli.
CIM Group expanded its Chicago portfolio in May, when acquiring two newly constructed mixed-use buildings, featuring 96 residential units, office spaces and street-level retail.
