New Dog Concierge Service at Gateway is Spot On

New York—Gateway, a 1,712-unit luxury rental community in Battery Park City, has inked an agreement with dog services provider The Spot Experience, which will offer its acclaimed breed of dog concierge services to the apartment community’s canine-owning residents.

The Spot Experience program is found in more than 30 Manhattan residential buildings, but this is the first residential community in Battery Park City to provide the company’s dog concierge program to residents.

Gateway’s dog owners will enjoy full-scale access to in-house and off-site pet care from the company, informally known as Spot.

The company’s highly trained and uniformed building personnel are tracked through GPS, helping provide added reassurance to both dog owners and non-dog owners of the apartment community.

Spot is the first luxury experience of its kind for dogs, and it provides a high level of care by veterinary technicians and behavior consultants who have benefited from more than 50 hours of training in the company‘s proprietary Human Alpha Instinct Method. Services include day care, overnights, long-term country boarding, grooming, training, transportation and retail.

Gateway officials report it was only fitting to contract with The Spot Experience. “When we were approached by Spot, which was looking to expand in downtown Manhattan, we were very impressed by their level of professionalism and services,” says Greg Tumminia, general manager of Gateway.

The Spot Experience CEO and Founder Mitch Marrow, a former NFL player and hedge fund manager, reports the company’s dog concierge program continues growing, and he’s delighted to have the chance to offer its services to the approximately 600 dog-owning residents at Gateway.

“With a highly-trained and vetted staff, Spot will not only provide premier services to dog-owning residents, but will also help beautify the community by cleaning up outside areas during routine dog walks,” Marrow says.

Gateway residents will receive a complimentary Spot membership, along with exclusive discounted services and priority access to the highest level of day care, cage-free overnights, dog walking, transportation, grooming and training services at Spot locations in New York City. Also offered by Spot is a designated shuttle service, whose fully trained dog handlers will pick up and drop off pets.

“We are thrilled that The Spot Experience has chosen to partner with Gateway,” Tumminia notes. “Our community has a number of pet owners who we believe will greatly benefit from Spot’s many services.”

All Spot personnel and dog handlers in residential buildings are insured, licensed and bonded. They have also been given comprehensive background checks.

What will the service mean to Gateway residents? “This collaboration will bring an added level of safety and professionalism in terms of dog care,” Tumminia says. “It’s a bonus amenity that we’re happy to provide to not only our dog-owning residents, but to the entire Gateway development.”
