Annapolis, Md.—Leasing has started at Crosswinds, a midrise apartment development in Annapolis Towne Centre. A Bozzuto Group development near downtown Annapolis, the property will offer 215 units when completed this summer, with studio, and one- and two-bedroom apartment options.
Common amenities include an Internet café, fitness center and digital art display. The property also features a clubroom with billiards and a poker/game room, grilling area, bocce court, wood-burning fire pit and interactive fountain.
The property includes a number of sustainable features, such as Energy Star appliances and water-saving fixtures, and construction has used reclaimed and recycled building materials whenever possible. Crosswinds also offers electric-car charging stations and bike racks to support alternative transportation
According to Buzzuto, the success of the nearby Mariner Bay Apartments, another one of its developments in Annapolis, helped persuade the company of the demand for more upmarket apartments in the area. Rents at Crosswinds start at $1,475 a month for a studio, $1,700 for one bedroom and $2,250 for two bedrooms.
The Bozzuto Group, a Washington, D.C.-based multifamily specialist, currently manages about 36,000 apartment units spread along the East Coast between northern Virginia and Boston. The new Annapolis property was developed by Bozzuto Development Co., built by Bozzuto Construction Co. and will be managed by Bozzuto Management Co.
