    Developer Breaks Ground on Cedar Creek Lake Luxury Community

    Just 75 minutes from Downtown Dallas, there is a stretch of undeveloped land on Cedar Creek Lake that will not be undeveloped much longer. Dallas-based Long Cove Development has begun the first phase of Long Cove, a luxury community of single homes.

    According to a news release by Long Cove, the project incorporates learning and best practices from luxury residential communities across the country. It’s being billed as the ideal weekend escape or vacation spot for time-starved families, with unprecedented amenities that truly cater to connecting with family and friends.

    The development will sit on more than 900 acres of land, located along six miles of untouched shoreline on the south side of Cedar Creek Lake, reports PR Newswire. Apart from the 300 homes, the site will include an amphitheater, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts and a pool, among other amenities, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

    The initial phase of Long Cove, which is currently under construction, is located on a half-mile of the picturesque Cedar Creek shoreline and includes 33 lakefront properties. Long Cove will comprise multiple phases and more than 300 waterfront properties. Future phases include a new marina, a restaurant and the excavation of major extensions to the lake that will increase Long Cove’s existing shoreline from six miles to eight miles.

    According to the developer’s Web site, there will be three kinds of residential properties, as follows:

    • Waterside Cottages – with prices ranging from the mid- $500s to just below $1 million.
    • Lakefront Lots – with prices ranging from the mid-$300s to mid-$400s.
    • Family Compounds – with prices ranging from the-mid-$600s to $1.75 million.
